Kristina Ozimec, who brings extensive experience in journalism, media, and communications, was born in Skopje (North Macedonia), where she spent most of her life and built her professional career. She is now based in Zagreb, Croatia, and will play a key role in promoting responsible forestry and supporting sustainability-related communications across the Adria-Balkan region. She will work in close collaboration with the regional team and in partnership with the European communications team.

Kristina will support the development and implementation of the regional communications plan, as well as key platforms including the website, social media channels, and newsletter. She will also provide communications support to the National Representative in the Adria-Balkan region, Diego Florian, particularly in media relations and the organization of events.

“I am very glad to have Kristina on board,” said Florian. “We can finally take full advantage of her experience and skills to strengthen our external communication with stakeholders and the wider public across the region. This will allow us to better showcase the many activities and initiatives we are developing. At the same time, we aim to increase the presence and visibility of FSC in local media, helping consumers become more aware of FSC values and of the locally certified forests—covering 5.5 million hectares across four countries.”

Welcome, Kristina, and best of luck in your new role!
